So, this Friday we are kicking off the 30 Rooms exhibit at Milepost 5. This event will spread 30 artists (30 visions), 9 bands, and countless DJs, dancers, and performance groups over the two buildings that make up the Milepost 5 campus.
I'm in charge of music entertainment on the chapel mainstage (in the Studios building ... it's the brick one). I'm really thrilled to be a part of this event, though it has been tough for me to line up DJs ... I just don't have the connections yet. Anyhow, fortunately I am not in this alone and we've pulled through with a solid lineup all around.
The opening events are FREE this Friday and Saturday from 1pm to 11pm with live music starting at 6pm in the chapel. On Friday, we'll mostly have DJs, plus a live DJ duo called Jellyfish and Bubbles (they rock Transformers: The Movie like nobody's business). On Saturday (June 17th), we have Boy Eats Drum Machine, Y La Bamba, Celilo and St. Frankie Lee.
Then, next week, we'll celebrate the last night of the exhibit on Saturday, June 24th with Musee Mecanique, Per Se, Silverhawk, Invisible Rockets. It will be epic.
You really should do you self a favor and make it to all 3 nights (I mean it's free!!) and be sure to check out the art!
All activities are free and all ages are welcome!
