visiting the coast today in favor of a little more time in Portland
and a shorter trip home to Seattle tonight.
It has been pouring all weekend so we picked up a pair of discrete
umbrellas. Roughly half an hour later the clouds parted and the rain
ceased.

that's exactly what happened to andy and i in chicago. we bought an umbrella, and the rain immediately stopped and never came back.
