Walla video

Today I'm a production assistant on the first video for Chris Walla's
new album for the first single "Sing Again". It is freezing cold but
I'm enjoying do something productive. I can't wait I see the finished
product.

Making movies

Well, actually I'm helping make a video I'm just doing some office
work but at least I'm feeling useful and I got a free lunch. If I
stick around long enough they may even let me out to buy coffee or
water!

Kind of a funny story. When I arrived at the studio the first person I
was was Ashod, a guy who I almost shared a house with! Small world.

There's a special customer service desk in hell for you. I made a trip
to Ikea today. It wasn't so bad, but 10 minutes in customer service is
like 45 minutes doing something slightly more interesting ... like
watching paint dry.

Flat

Bernadette got a flat on her new Mercedes. We're determining if
Mercedes roadside assistance will take care of it or if we should call
my AAA plan for assistance.

The car is pretty fly ... even with a flat.

broke away from a holiday party to catch their set.

Yeah, I made breakfast today. Well I had some help, but it was still a
small feet to me to prepare something that didn't come from the
grocer's freezer section.

We packed up the rental truck and it started snowing. I am very
disappointed in my choice of moving days!

Packing

I seem to have less to move than in the past I've been getting rid of
things that I don't use with each move, so it just keeps getting
easier. Regardless, I hate moving.

Curtains

I'm packing and figuring out where I'll live. I really loved living in
the Diller Hotel these last few months and I'll be sad to have to move
on.

I'm moving this Saturday. Hopefully I can round up a small posse to
help me cart everything downstairs.

It's times like these that I remember why I don't try to cook more
often. There's too many of us trying to prepare foods that we are not
prepared to make.

I only attempted to make candied yams and they look like a massacre. I
hope they taste alright.

We finally made it up to the Japanese Gardens. We decided against
visiting the coast today in favor of a little more time in Portland
and a shorter trip home to Seattle tonight.

It has been pouring all weekend so we picked up a pair of discrete
umbrellas. Roughly half an hour later the clouds parted and the rain
ceased.

We stopped in the Lush cosmetics shop. The smell and variety is pretty
overwhelming. My mom is impressed.

Breakfast at Bridges

I'm visiting Portland today with my mom. The weather is terrible but
typical. I think we're going to check out the Japanese Gardens. I'm
also hoping to meet with potential housemates later in the day.

Seahawks

Today I am at the Seahawks vs. 49ers game with my mom. Seahawks are
owning the 9ers. It is good.

Back east. Both flights today had open seats. I probably could have
gotten my flight for even cheaper.

Viva Seatac

Attention to detail isn't my strong suit, but fortunately adaptability
is one of my virtues. I managed to not book my Boston flight some six
weeks ago. I discovered this approximately 20 hours ago when I was
unable to locate my travel itinerary. You can imagine my panic.

Anyhow, I frantically attempted to find a decent fare. No dice. My
lovely sister Pamela also made a valiant effort to get ne on a plane.

I gave up around 8pm. Then a couple of hours later I gave Priceline a
go. I got the flight I wanted at a price I could live with. It was rad.

Now I'm on board and in an exit row no less! Thank god for legroom.
Next stop Chicago.
